How many days should I stay in Hanoi? One, Two or Three days ?

How many days should I stay in Hanoi? Or how many days in Hanoi is enough. It is popular that visitors often wonder before they arrive (especially the first time). You can visit the city within one day, or stay for 2 to 3 days to discover more and more tourist destinations. Hanoi is also the main stop before visiting other places like Halong Bay, Ninh Binh, Sapa, etc. The question of how many days I should stay in Hanoi, Vietnam, depends on your plan for the trip. We would like to suggest an itinerary as below.

1. One Day in Hanoi

If you do not have much time but want to visit some attractions, you can spend one day discovering the city. After spending time in Hanoi, you can visit some famous North Vietnam provinces, such as Lao Cai province with Sapa, Quang Ninh province with Halong bay, etc.
The best thing to do in Hanoi if you have just 1 day is to go around the Old Quarter. You can find souvenir shops to buy gifts for friends. You can also try Vietnamese food with Spring Roll, Bun Cha, Pho, and so on. Tourists should visit Hanoi Opera House, Hoa Lo prison, as well as walking around Hoan Kiem Lake. The Temple of Literature is very famous as the first university of Vietnam. It should be on a list to visit within your day.
