Covid-19 Testing In Vietnam | Location, Price, Tips

COVID-19 testing is in high demand as many people need a negative test result for working and traveling purposes. If you are staying in Vietnam and you need to know

1. What is the RT-PCR Test?

PCR stands for a polymerase chain reaction, which is generally used to detect viruses. At present, it is the standard gold test for diagnosing COVID-19.
The PCR test includes two types: Real-time and conventional.
Real-time PCR, also known as RT-PCR, allows doctors to know the results immediately while testing. Meanwhile, conventional PCR only provides results at the end of the test.
When you have undergone the test, you will receive either positive or negative results.
Positive means you are likely to be infected with COVID-19 and need to follow healthcare guidelines by the local authority. On the other hand, negative means you are probably not infected by COVID-19 at the time of testing.
