3. How To Make Bun Cha At Home - Bun Cha recipe

Ingredients
a) For grilled pork:

  • 1 lb minced pork meat

  • 3.5 tablespoons delicious fish sauce

  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce

  • 2 tablespoons sugar

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 1 teaspoon ground pepper

  • 5-6 minced purple onions

  • 4-6 cloves of garlic, minced

b) Dipping sauce

  • 2 tablespoons sugar

  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce

  • 2 tablespoons vinegar

  • 200 ml of water

  • Garlic, minced chili

  • Thinly sliced papaya and carrot

Others

  • Rice vermicelli

  • Fresh herbs (lettuce, cilantro, perilla, etc.)

 
Instructions
Step 1: Make the sauce
Add all ingredients in one bowl including 3.5 tbsp fish sauce, 2 tbsp oyster sauce, 3 tbsp color/stock, 2 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp, 2 teaspoons seasoning, 1 teaspoon ground pepper, 5-6 minced purple onions, 1 garlic, minced to make the sauce.

Step 2: Marinated pork
Clean the lean meat and cut it into small pieces.
add all the ingredients along with the sauce into one bowl. Mix well and marinate it for at least 30 minutes or preferably for about 2 hours.

Step 3: Grilled the meat
After the meat is soaked in seasoning, the lean meat is molded into bite-sized pieces, the bacon is clamped on a bamboo stick and then grilled on both sides.

Step 4: Make the dipping sauce and pickles
Prepare a small bowl and mix together: 3 tablespoons of sugar, 5 tablespoons of delicious fish sauce, 2 tablespoons of cooled boiled water, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, ½ teaspoon of vinegar, and stir well, add carrots, kohlrabi washed, peeled, and thinly sliced into a bowl.
