1. Covid-19 In Vietnam Situation

1.1. General Situation
As of March 18, Vietnam has injected more than 200 million doses of covid vaccine for local people, most of the people aged 18 and over have had enough doses. Vietnam is in the top 10 countries with the highest vaccine coverage rate globally.

1.2. Tourism Situation
As of March 15th, most tourist attractions have reopened, on March 17th, the first international flight from Singapore to Da Nang brought more than 100 tourists from 20 countries to Vietnam.
Regarding for international flights, Vietnam has approved reopening international flights from February 15th.
At present, many airlines operate international commercial flights to Vietnam, including Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet, Bamboo Airways. The number of flights will be increased day by day.
2. Vietnam Is Ready For Welcome Tourist To Come Back
Vietnam has implemented a three-phase scheme intended to reopen for international tourism in 2022.
More specifically, the plan starting in November 2021 has allowed fully vaccinated foreign tourists to visit some specific locations such as Phu Quoc, Khanh Hoa, Quang Ninh, Quang Nam, and Da Nang. Tourists will be exempted from a 7-day quarantine.
The second phase started in January 2022, with more destinations added to the list, including Kien Giang, Binh Dinh, Ho Chi Minh city.
During the third phase, from March 15th all tourists destinations will open for international visitors.
In 2022, Vietnam targets to attract over 5 million international visitors and serve 60 million domestic tourists.
Besides that, Vietnam also implemented the media campaign "Live fully in Vietnam". The campaign is opening on websites promoting Vietnam's tourism to international visitors including the website vietnam.travel, social networking sites such as Facebook, Tik Tok, Instagram, Youtube, and Pinterest; international communication channels as well as through Vietnamese representative agencies abroad.

3. Documents Required For Tourists Visit Vietnam After Covid
All travelers arriving in Vietnam are required to submit the following documents: (Update on June 15th, 2022)

Visitors do not need to provide vaccination certificates and do not quarantine.

Within 10 days after entry, guests self-monitor their health and report to the nearest medical facility if they have symptoms of suspected Covid-19 infection.

Have medical or travel insurance that covers COVID-19 treatment, with a minimum liability of $10,000.

3.1. Travel Insurance
International visitors to Vietnam need travel medical insurance for Covid treatment worth at least $10,000, which costs about $30. Travelers can contact travel agents or insurance companies to purchase.
Visitors must have travel insurance to enter Vietnam.
3.2. Quarantine
From March 15, 2022, Vietnam has reduced quarantine requirements for international tourists.
After arriving in Vietnam, tourists can travel right away if have a negative test (within 24 hours for rapid test method, 72 hours for RT-PCR method) and are required to monitor their health for the next 10 days and comply with 5K message.

4. Visa policies for travelers to Vietnam
From March 15 Vietnam reopens visas for international visitors, including E visa, unilateral and bilateral visa exemption.
Vietnam previously exempted visas unilaterally for 13 countries and bilaterally for 88 countries/territories. After March 15, the application of restrictive measures on visa issuance will be removed and implemented as before the epidemic, including electronic visa issuance, unilateral and bilateral visa exemption.
Passengers who want to travel to Vietnam can submit visa applications through travel agencies. The agencies will process visa applications as per regulations.
5. International flights
Vietnam already reopen all international flights from February 15
At this point, except for China, all countries that Vietnam proposed to restore air routes have agreed.
Vietnam has operated regular passenger flights from markets including the US, Japan, Thailand, Cambodia, Taipei, Singapore, Australia, Russia, UK, France, and Germany.
